Please note the following information about the department and the Assistant Chief position requirements:
Successful candidates will minimally possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Science, Emergency Management, Homeland Security, or closely related field from an accredited college/university. Master’s Degree preferred. The position requires 5-7 years of supervisory experience in fire department operations and administration. Completion, or enrollment with a completion date in the National Fire Academy Executive Officers certification is desired. Completion of Command and General Staff certification is required along with ICS specific certifications. Wisconsin State Certified EMT required. The annual salary for this position is $109,920 (+) depending upon qualifications. The City of Beloit also offers an attractive benefits package.
